Our Veterinarians share a common goal: to provide the highest quality comprehensive medical care to our patients. A visit with one of our vets is backed by the support and knowledge of all three.

Dr. Paul McCutcheon

Dr. Paul McCutcheon

Dr. McCutcheon is a member of:

  • American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association

Dr. McCutcheon, our Director, founded the East York Animal Clinic in 1962, after completing his DVM at the Ontario Veterinary College. He likes the challenges of work here at the clinic and the motivation it provides.

He has a long history of media involvement including radio, television and print. He has served his profession in various capacities including the President of the Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Director of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association. In 1979, Dr. McCutcheon was honoured as the Veterinarian of the Year. He is a co-author of The New Holistic Way.

Dr. McCutcheon enjoys gardening, media activity, service work with his Rotary club, and being with his family which includes his wife Jean, their 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and cats, Riley, Teddy, and Holly.

Dr. Kneebone has been with East York Animal Clinic since 1998. She focuses on natural medicine, Chinese medicine, acupuncture and general surgery. Dr. Kneebone attends seminars and conferences as part of her ongoing pursuit of natural medicine.

Dr. Kneebone has a busy household with her cats, Sunny and Bobo, and flat-coated retriever, Hannah.

Dr. Kneebone enjoys cycling, stargazing, swimming, quiet country life, and farming.

Dr. Chiu has been with East York Animal Clinic since 2013. She has a special interest in general surgery, dental health, and acupuncture. She often attends conferences and seminars to stay well-informed with medical developments.

In her spare time, Dr. Chiu enjoys reading, travelling, trying out new things at least once (parachuting, hang gliding, rappelling, etc. to name a few). She is going through a lengthy bucket list! She also enjoys experimenting with new recipes tricking others to eat it… so far no complaints from the victims yet.

Dr. Chiu was adopted by Doctor Nickademus, a Kuvasz, whose stubborn nature challenges her everyday.

Anne, our RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) and Assistant Manager, has been with East York Animal Clinic for 19 years.

Her furry friend Elliott (3-legged cat) provides her with lots of entertainment and love.

She loves to do anything outdoors: camping, hiking with friends, gardening, going for bicycle rides, and adventures on her motorcycle.

Chris


Chris, our Office Manager and Veterinary Technician, has been with East York Animal Clinic for over 33 years! Chris loves her job and enjoys experiencing new challenges on a daily basis.

Teddy (cat), Niko (cat), Frodo (dog), and Thunder Gekky (gecko) provide Chris and her family with unconditional love and constant companionship.

Chris enjoys North Country cottaging, garage sale-ing, and spending time with her family.

Natalie is an RVT and has been with East York Animal Clinic for over 9 years. Natalie likes the day-to day variety and how there is always something to learn at the clinic.

Her dog Hunter is an old soul and they go for trail walks when the weather isn’t too hot.

Natalie enjoys traveling, building custom furniture, yoga, and reading.

Jacen has been a Veterinary Assistant and Receptionist at East York Animal Clinic since September 2014. He is also our Certified Canine Massage Therapist, and a Certified Aromatherapist.

Jacen lives with Siren, his spunky feline, as well as Akroma, her crazy sister. His favourite thing about his pets: “There is never a dull moment when I am around them. And even though they are the reason I can never own nice things, I wouldn’t trade their hilarious antics for anything!”

Jacen enjoys reading, video games, wine and cheese, and getting to spend time with his friends.

Maryann


Maryann is a graduate of Western University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She has been with East York Animal Clinic since October 2013, and enjoys the holistic approach to health and preventative care that the clinic offers.

Maryann is the human to her cat Teko.

In her free time, she enjoys taking part in numerous fitness challenges; participating in running/trail races, and competing as an amateur Muay Thai fighter.
