Meet Dr. Ali Aliabadi, a dedicated and passionate veterinarian whose lifelong love for animals has shaped his distinguished career. Dr. Ali earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree in Iran in 2002 and continued his advanced training through a surgical residency, culminating in a Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) degree in 2006.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ali has made meaningful contributions to the veterinary field, publishing numerous articles in respected scientific journals and sharing his expertise as a speaker at veterinary conferences around the world. In 2014, Dr. Ali and his wife immigrated to Canada, where he became an active part of the veterinary community. He is a member of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) and is licensed by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO).

With over a decade of experience in small animal healthcare, Dr. Ali brings broad expertise in surgery, emergency medicine, critical care, and general practice. He has a special interest in internal medicine, surgery, and anesthesia. Known for his compassionate approach to patient care and client communication, Dr. Ali is a valued member of our hospital team who brings experience, warmth, and a deep dedication to veterinary medicine.

When he is not at the clinic, Dr. Ali enjoys spending quality time with his wife, daughter, and their young Himalayan kitten, Muguet. He also enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and swimming.

Dr. Nikahval began his remarkable journey in veterinary medicine in 2005, when he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Shiraz University. His dedication and clinical skill were quickly recognized, leading to employment offers from his former professors and marking the beginning of his distinguished career.

Since then, Dr. Nikahval has developed his skills across many areas of veterinary care, ranging from companion animals to equine and bovine medicine. Over the past eight years, he has worked full-time in veterinary clinics across Canada, helping pets receive personalized, high-quality care. He has also made meaningful contributions to the field by publishing numerous scientific papers in veterinary medicine, helping advance knowledge and best practices within the profession.

Beyond his clinical duties, Dr. Nikahval is deeply committed to mentoring and guiding future veterinarians, supporting the continued advancement of veterinary medicine. He holds a particular passion for canine and feline medicine and surgery, where his expertise shines through in every case.

Dr. Nikahval has chosen to open his own clinic with his partner by re-opening East York Animal Clinic in the East York region in 2024. With his extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Dr. Nikahval brings trust, compassion, and skilled veterinary care to the pets and families he serves. Pet owners can connect with him for experienced veterinary care delivered with genuine empathy. In his free time, Dr. Nikahval enjoys spending quality time with his family, including his cat (Mr. Snowy), as well as going to the gym and playing the piano.
